For my puppy owners that want to learn how to strip. Here is the a picture guide I have done to show how to groom.
Grooming your standard schnauzer.
1. Flip the coat backwards and pull all the long hairs out. Starting from the neck back.
2. Card with the fine stripping knife.
3. Use grooming stone to go over the coat.
Keeping doing this until the coat looks even. This can be done every 1-2 weeks.
To strip the whole dog, you take all the hair course hair out. It should pull out fairly easy. When I dogs coat is blow the trips of the pepper and salt coat will be white. This is dead hair. Once the top coat is pulled you should have only soft under coat left.
