About Us:
Katrina grew up in California and has had horses and dogs her whole life and came from a military background. Chris was in the Army for several years and we finally moved back to Alabama after traveling for a few years.
Katrina comes from the equestrian world with over 30 years of experience. In college she was an equine science/history major, so working with animals is very easy for her. She was an Professional in the equine world for a few years and also rode and showed her own horses as an Amateur.
Katrina served as a USHJA Zone 4 Board Member from 2012 to 2016.
Katrina and her husband, Chris got into schnauzers because Katrina has allergies to dogs that shed. Schnauzers don't shed. In 2012, she and her husband Chris bought their mini schnauzer, Pierre. He was the first to kick off the adventure into the world of the Schnauzers.
After a year and a half of research, looking and waiting, Annie (GCHB CH Elkhart Terramar Suzanne Sugarbaker CD BN CAX FDC BCAT CGCA TKI ATT RATI) came into our lives. She is the first of our Standard Schnauzers at our house. Our dogs are a part of our active family. Our dogs have shown at some of the top shows in the country and have been Crufts Qualified. Some of these shows include, 2018/2019 Westminster Kennel Club, 2015/2016/2019 SSCA National Specialty and 2017/2019/2022 AKC National Championship.
Shortly after Annie came home, Summer (GCH CH Elkhart's Suddenly Last Summer BCAT CGC TKN ATT) followed along. She is Annie's half sister and our foundation bitch. Both Annie and Summer are from Elkhart Standard Schnauzers in GA. Heggie (GCH CH Reign On Drops of Jupiter CGC TKN) is the new generation and the first to carry on the Reign On kennel name. We have big plans for her. All of our dogs used in our breeding program are health tested and all results can be found on OFA.
The name, Reign On came about with my love of horses and my equestrian background and carry on the lines of my dogs ancestors. My dogs proudly carried on the lines of Charisma, Julia, Oakwood Kennels and several others.
Whether it is a trip to the Carolina's to the beach or to the barn to visit the horses. They come with us. They love going to see family and run and play on the farm where Katrina’s husband grew up. So feel free to browse our site and learn more about the Standard Schnauzer.
Katrina is a member of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America (SSCA) since 2015 and Potomac Valley Standard Schnauzer Club since 2017 and Decatur Alabama Kennel Club since 2013.
